Cannot log in to email with iOS

I am unable to connect to my email account with iOS Outlook, have tried on iPhone and iPad, get the same problem "Unable to log in - please check your email address and password and try again", latest versions of iOS and Outlook. Outlook on OS X works fine with the same settings and password, Apple Mail on the same iPhone and iPad works fine with the same settings and password. Have tried all variations of IMAP and POP3 settings both SSL and non-SSL nothings works.
Hello, Sorry for the frustration with the iOS version not being able to login to your email account. I myself have used Outlook 2016 for Mac and iOS, so I do know that it works. The problem is that we would need to know what settings you're using in order to determine why they are not working. We will need to review the steps you're taking and the exact settings and username/password you're using to login to the account. If you have not yet reviewed Microsoft's support page for Outlook iOS, then please review it. They may have information that can help with the issue.
