Cannot send mail

I am trying to send an email to my boss - (from @proglassgv.com to @proglassgv.com) and I get a message Cannot Send Email - the server rejected on the recipient's addresses. The message has been placed in your Outbox. We just went from a shared server to a VPS (?) why is this happening?
