Where do emails go when archived using RoundCube

Yesterday I archived quite a number of emails using RoundCube. When I went to find them today I couldn't find them anywhere. Where do emails go when using the Archive folder in RoundCube?

Most likely, the emails are in a folder simply named Archive, but it may be hidden from your sidebar. Here is how to find them:

  • Check for Subfolders: Click the arrow next to the Archive folder; Roundcube often auto-organizes mail into subfolders by year (e.g., Archive/2026).
  • Show Hidden Folders: If you don't see an Archive folder at all, go to Settings > Folders and make sure the "Archive" folder is checked/subscribed.
  • Verify the Destination: You can see exactly where that button sends mail by going to Settings > Preferences > Special Folders.

Quick Tip: Use the search bar at the top and set the scope to "All Folders" to find them instantly!
