I experienced an error "Warning: Error while sending QUERY packet. PID=929743 in /home/........./public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1877", resulting in a very sluggish wordpress website performance.
It might be due to resource restrictions and I am currently already on highest plan of Shared Business Hosting Pro Plan. Please advise what can be done to avoid/resolve this? thanks.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are getting the "Error while sending QUERY packet' message. The best we can tell, this has to do with the max_allowed_packet_size. This should be able to be set via the php.ini file. You may find more information at this post regarding the issue.

Kindest Regards,
Scott M

Thanks Scott. Will i be able to adjust the max_allowed_packet_size if i'm currently in Inmotion's Wordpress Web Hosting Pro Plan? If not, which plan will allow adjustment to the packet size? thanks.

Yes, you should be able to edit that via the php.ini file.

The link Scott provided indicates to make the max_allowed_packet size modification via your /etc/my.cnf file. This is the configuration file for MySQL and can only be modified with root level access. Step 5, in our article How to Change MySQL Server Time Zone, explains how to modify your my.cnf file. I hope this helps!
