How do I install/enable SOAP on my server?
Got a library on sourceforge (nusoap-0.9.5) but don't know how to go about it.
Can you please show how to do this the easy and effective way please?

Iam getting error when iam installing software,Iam using inmotion hosting. username:>
PHP SOAP extension (soap) is not loaded.
Check your settings in php.ini.

CATS Open Source will function without SOAP, but CATS Professional functionality will not be supported.

Under certain Linux / BSD distributions, the PHP SOAP extension is a separate package.

Ubuntu: Run "apt-get install php-soap" and restart your webserver.

Debian: Run "apt-get install php5-soap" and restart your webserver.

FreeBSD: Install the php5-soap port, or configure SOAP support in the php-extensions port and restart your webserver.

SOAP is not able to be installed on our shared servers. You will need to have a VPS or Dedicated server in order to install SOAP. The most common way to do that is to us the yum command. For instance:
yum install php53-soap

I apologize for the previous answer being wrong. As long as you are using cPanel/Apache you can run easy apache with root (/scripts/easyapache). Go through the questions and customize the build profile. When you get to the section after choosing a PHP version select "See exhaustive list" and scroll down to PHP 5.x and SOAP will be listed there.

Hello Davenfla,

Thanks for the question about installing SOAP. You will not be able to use SOAP with a shared server. You would require root access on either a VPS or Dedicated server account in order to use SOAP. If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.
