Joomla 3.0 Banner Component Tutorial

joomla-3.0-banners-componentIn the following set of tutorials, we will teach you how to use the banners component in Joomla Hosted website.

What is a banner?

Depending on who you ask, a banner is usually one of two things:

  1. An image at the top of a website, usually shown on every single page
  2. An advertisement, most typically shown in the sidebar of a page

The Joomla Banners component is an extension to help you manage the latter option, ads.

Why should I use the Joomla Banners Component?

With this component you have quite a bit of control over creating and managing banners. This built in Joomla extenion allows you to:

  • Create and organize banners using categories and clients
  • Control how your banners are displayed - based upon many factors such as the banner categories you create, the clients you configure, and even based upon keywords in your articles
  • Data and analysis - Easily see how many times your banners are viewed (referred to as impressions) and clicked on.

Join us in the following guide as we teach you how to create and manage banners within your Joomla 3.0 site!
