Wordpress CIVICRM Plug in not showing after manual install

I cannot see the CIVI CRM Plugin nor my dummy plug-in.
I uploaded Zip to imotionhosting via SFTP to the plug-ins folder of Wordpress
I unzipped via SSH login. The files are visible in the SFTP and directories, but
It seems Wordpress does not recognize it.
Installation of Plugins via Wordpress internal download works fine.
I spoke with support, they said there is no problem with the owner rights.
I have the system running well on my mac with MAMP locally, I would like to go online now.
Please help me!

Hello, Thank you for your CIVIC CRM plugin question. I checked on my own WordPress installation and was able to install the plugin without issue. I did it twice, once manually as you described and once through the admin dashboard by going to Plugins >> Add New >> Upload Plugin and then uploading the zip file. Once uploaded, I clicked on Install and it then installed the plugin. In both cases, the plugin appeared in the plugin list and under the Settings area for configuration. Give the dashboard method a try and see if that helps. If not, we may need to get your credentials and log in he dashboard to see what we can find out. Kindest Regards, Scott M
