Can't figure out how to create link to .pdf on site

I have a .pdf I want to link to from one page of my website, and following the instructions from another answer to a post in the support section, I created a subfolder in my public_html folder, and put the .pdf there. I've tried creating the link using the path suggested (example: http://domainname/pdf/file.pdf). When that didn't work, I inserted the public_html into the path, but that didn't work either. I'm probably missing something obvious, but I can't figure out what it is!

Hello Lisa, Sorry for the confusion. I checked your site and the PDF file and it opens for me. One thing you should do is to make sure that the file name is capitalized correctly. I noticed that the file name is a mix of capital and lower case letters. If one of those is wrong in your path referencing the file, it won't open. Browsers associate PDF files with whatever program is set to open it (on your local computer), so it should open automatically. The file path should be something like this: http://domainname.com/pdf/PdfFileName.pdf We also have a tutorial that you can reference here: How to add a PDF file in your website. Hope that helps!
