Why can't email to some domains be sent from inmotion smtp server? Using the same email recipient with another smtp server works fine

I'm trying to send an email using inmotion smtp server but the email isn't routed. I immediately get the following  message:

all hosts for 'domain' have been failing for a long time (and retry time not reached)

Nevertheless, if I send the email using another smtp server (same email address sender) the message arrives without any problem.

Hi Chris. The message I get (in bold in previous post) is the same in mail log (cPanel -> Email -> Track Delivery).

Thanks for letting us know what you're seeing in regards to the mail log.  The mail log typically tells us if the mail was delivered and how it's failing. I would recommend that you  send a ticket into the live technical support team, provide any bounce information and your log findings.  They can then review the log and test directly from the mail server as needed.  That will be the best way to determine why emails are not being received at another server.  Bounce messages are extremely important. So, if you have one, make sure that you provide that information.  Mail servers communicate delivery errors or issues through bounces.

If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Kindest regards,

Arnel C.

I'd recommend you first check your mail logs. That way, you'll get a better idea of where the problem is originating on the recipient or server side. Then further troubleshooting may proceed from there.
