Handling higher than expected traffic.

Hi there,

I'm looking at your VPS hosting services and naturally there are bandwidth limits. I'm just wondering what happens if a site experiences higher traffic than expected and this limit is breached. Does all traffic simply stop or is there some kind of mechanism to allow flexibility?

Kind regards.

Hello, Thank you for your question. Our System Administrators monitor the servers 24/7, and handle this type of issue on a case-by-case basis. Typically, you would be notified ahead of time that you are reaching your limitation, so you can make any necessary changes. Bandwidth usually grows over time as a website becomes more popular and gains more traffic. You can always view your bandwidth usage in the Web Host Manager. If you think you are going to exceed your monthly bandwidth limitation, you can contact Support and notify them, or possible upgrade your account, if necessary. If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below. Thank you, -John-Paul
