Wordpress scheduled posts are going out early

The Wordpress time was originally set to UTC, but I've since changed the local time to EST. The posts are still going out early. Inmotion says it's not a server side issue.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hello jalmond, and thanks for the great question! Sorry to hear you're having issues with your WordPress scheduled posts. How early are they going out? I'm seeing a lot of related issues doing some searching on the web, but most of them mention the post never actually getting posted, not just the time being off. I'm not 100% sure if this could be the issue, but the current way that you have WordPress setup, the wp-cron.php file which handles scheduled posts is setup to run each time there is a visitor to the site. You might be able to try to disable the wp-cron.php in WordPress and instead setup an actual cron job to run the scheduled tasks at a specific interval. So if in WordPress you had the post scheduled for 10:00AM EST, on the server because it's in PST, you'd want to set the cron job to call the wp-cron.php file at 7:01AM PST so it triggers the scheduled post. If you're still having issues, please give us some specifics on how far off the time these scheduled posts are going out, and we'd be glad to help! - Jacob
