Finding my new website.

I've read how to create an addon domain, and done that. Once I contact the domain registrar, how do I point it to the subfolder created? My website is somehow at mymainsite.com/newsite.com/newsite/ I want people to type www.newsite.com to find my website. I've been unable to find an article that addresses this. Can someone point me in the right direction.

Hello Ohdarn, Thanks for the question! You don't actually point the domain to the subfolder. You will need to change the nameservers. In order to make this change, check out this tutorial titled Updating your domain's name servers. By default, all domains that are pointed to InMotion Hosting's hosting servers are setup to allow both the WWW and non-WWW domain names to get to their domains. The actual location of the change depends on if your domain was transferred to our domain registrar or registered with our domain registrar. If it was not, then you would need to use the interface of the domain registrar that is controlling your domain. If we have control of your domain, then you can change the nameservers in AMP. Note that any DNS change may require up to 24 hours before the change applies - this is known as DNS propagation. I hope this helps to clear up the confusion. Please let us know if you require any further assistance. Regards, Arnel C.
