I try to email my account from an outside hosted email domain and get the following error back?

The message that you sent was undeliverable to the following:

[email protected] (550 Sender verify failed)

Information about your message:
Subject: Scurr to brc

Number of send attempts: 1
Time of initial send attempt: 07-25-13 18:34:50

Possibly truncated original message follows:
Received: from email-MTA by mail.scurr.com

I can email everything else from that same email server? What does your email server use to verify a senders email?

Hello Robinscurr, Sorry for the confusion with the email. The problem had to do with DNS settings, but the problem has been fixed. The scurr.com domain needed to be set so that it was not recognized as a "local" domain since its name servers are controlled by your domain registrar. This was corrected and you should not see that error again. If you want more information on the 550 error, please reference our article Fixing 550 error - no such user here. The section of the article on "Email does not route correctly ( Remote / Local domains )" is what applied in this case. This issue has since been fixed by T2c who reviewed the issue with me. If you still require any further assistance, please let us know. Regards, Arnel C.
