Google Analytics in Joomla 2.5

Hello, I am using a template which doesn't seem to have a standard index.php file to input a google analytics code like the one you showed in 309. There are no opening or closing tags in the file just a closing tag. The template does have a option to put the code into but this didn't work. I am a bit stuck to where to put the code?

Hello timharmer! So when you follow the steps in the Adding Google Analytics to Joomla 2.5 tutorial, step 3, your Joomla template has no <head> tag in it? We checked various templates and all of them contained the code in the Joomla index.php page. Your template may have a php include in it that loads the file from a different location or you may be missing the head tag in the template. It is difficult to say without knowing which template you are using. What template are you using? Best regards, James R
