I am transferring a client from GoDaddy, but I need to transfer their email. What is the best way to migrate their email to InMotion's hosting servers?

I am transfering a client from GoDaddy to your hosting service. My dilemma is that I need the best way to transfer their email accounts to your servers. I saw the https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/everything-email/301-using-thunderbird-to-transfer-emails-between-servers article. Is this the only article that you have on this subject?

Hello Charles, Thanks for the question! Email differs from host to host, so it is sometimes difficult to migrate email accounts and their individual emails from one place to the other. The article that you mention: Transferring emails between servers using Thunderbird is an example of one way to do it with a free email client. You will still need to create all of the email accounts on the server. You may also want to review our article on transferring emails from your old host to InMotion. There are third-party tools that you can find that may help, but for the most part, they are not free and not cheap. For this reason, transferring old email accounts between hosts is often best done using email clients like Outlook or Thunderbird. Hopefully, this will be a good solution for you. If you have any further questions, please leave a comment with more details and and we will be happy to review the issue for you.
