Word Press - getting started

I used Softaculus to install a new Word Press site. The installation was successful, but I cannot figure out how to edit it. WordPress asks for a user ID and password, but I went through Softaculous, not WP...I know I'm missing something simple, but I don't know what. Any ideas on how to get into wordpress to edit?

Hello Juliellen, Softaculous is an installation program. You need to login to the Wordpress Application in order to actually work with it. The Softaculous program asks you what you want to use for the Admin user name and password - so you'll need that information to login. Softaculous also asked you if you wish to email the install details to an email account. If you didn't record this or know this information, then the easier route would be to first UNINSTALL using the Softaculous program, then re-installing and carefully reading the directions provided - so that you know your login information. If you didn't change it all, then the user name would Admin and the password would be pass. The typical URL for the Wordpress Admin is in this format: domain_name.com/wp-admin. This of course depends on what you used for the domain name.
