How to set up email on Windows 8

Hello,
I've been trying to set up my inmotion email on Windows 8 without success. When I google this, I've read that windows 8 does not support pop servers. How can I set up my email on Windows 8 operating system.

Hello Rfunk, Thank you for your question. It is true that Windows 8 does not have a built-in email client that allows POP email connections, but you can still connect and check your email via IMAP with these settings. Standard & SSL IMAP Settings: Username: Your full email address, for example [email protected] Standard settings (replace example.com with your actual domain name): Incoming Server (normal): mail.example.com Port: 143 Outgoing Server (normal): mail.example.com Port: 25 or 587 SSL Settings (be sure to replace the XXX with your server number): Incoming Server (Secure SSL): secureXXX.inmotionhosting.com Port: 993 Outgoing Server (SSL secure): secureXXX.inmotionhosting.com Port: 465 IMAP leaves a copy of the emails on the server untilthey are deleted, while POP by default downloads and removes them from the server. You can also download a free a email client that supports POP such as Thunderbird, or purchase a client such as Outlook.
