Cannot Reset CPanel Password
Hi
I tried to reset my Cpanel password from the AMP. I was informed that the password was reset successfully but when I attempt to login to Cpanel, I could not. I got messages that the login information is not correct.
I reported this problem several months back and one of your staff had to set the password for me from your end. I cannot however keep doing that as I feel this is something I should be able to do myself.
Can you help look into this.
I currently have not access to the CPanel as I cannot login again no matter how many times I reset from the AMP.

Thank you

How can I get my cpanel password

I can't log into cPanel- Password reset needed
When I type in my cPanel username and password, it is rejected. What should I do, can I reset it?
I reset my password and I still can't log onto cpanel
I reset my password yesterday and I still can't log onto cpanel
I forgot my cPanel Password and would like it revealed (not reset)
I forgot what my cPanel password is. I am still logged into cPanel on my browser's end because Google Chrome's cookies & cache were transferred via Google Account so it automatically logs in for me; HOWEVER I still need to actually know my password for when I jump to other computers (for example: when I'm at work). I do not want to RESET the actual password, if there is a way where you can just tell me what it is, that would be great! Thank you very much.

If you cannot email me the password for security reasons, I totally understand, you can call my personal cell-phone which you should have on file with the rest of my personal information along with my credit-card data.

Hello and thanks for contacting us. You can only reset your cPanel password using AMP (or WHM > List Accounts for reseller/VPS/Dedicated Hosting).

Hello, Thank you for your question regarding login issues. The link you provided is for your webmail, instead of cPanel. You can reset your email password in cPanel at any time. If you are having trouble logging into cPanel, you can reset your cPanel password in AMP. You do not need to know your original password to accomplish this. Since this is a public forum, I have marked out your personal information for security purposes. Thank you, John-Paul

Hello dirath168, Sorry for the issues with the cPanel login. We can't help with login issues in the Support Center, but you can reset the login in the Account Management Panel (AMP). Otherwise, you can contact the live technical support team via chat/email/phone. They can work with you to help you securely login to your account. If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know. Regards, Arnel C.

Hello Carson, Sorry for your problem with the cPanel password. Unfortunately, we have no way to see your password. So we couldn't reveal it to you. You can follow the cPanel change password tutorial to change your password to something that you can use. Or, if you find out what your original password was, you can revert back to that password. Apologies that we cannot directly provide you the answer you have requested. I hope that helps to answer your question! If you require further assistance, please let us know! Regards, Arnel C.

Hello LcsStudios, Apologies for the problem with cPanel password reset. I have been testing it to see if I could replicate the problem that you're having. First, if you do need a password reset, you should call/email/chat with our live technical support team, as they can change it immediately for you and it's secure. Answers on this page are public domain. In terms of using the cPanel Password reset, I wanted to make sure that we're both doing the same thing: 1) Click on cPanel Login (after logging into AMP) 2) Click on the RESET PASSWORD link 3) You will then be on the Reset Password page and you'll see Password and Confirm Password fields. 4) Click on submit after you've typed in your new password twice. It should confirm the password change. At this point, you still have to login to the cPanel. This is probably the part where you are having problems. Firefox, Chrome, and other internet browsers will often auto-fill the password line for you. If you're not typing in your password, then you may think that the correct password is already there, but it's typically NOT. Additionally, if you use Google login, or Facebook login to get into the Support Center (or other applications), then it's possible that it is conflicting with the login that you're using for the cPanel. This is especially true of the Google login. You have to log OUT of it before logging into the cPanel through the web interface. If you want to avoid all of this, then simply go to the direct URL for your cPanel. An example of the direct link for cPanel is http://example_domain.com/cpanel. You would need to know your cPanel user name (it's not the same as your AMP login). If you want information on changing the cPanel password, check out Changing the cPanel password. It explains how to change it outside of AMP. I hope this helps to explain the issue. I did check to make sure it was working in another account, so it should be working. Please let us know if you continue to have any problems. Regards, Arnel C.

Hello, Sorry to hear you're having problems with the cPanel password. Typically, you can easily change the password using the instructions from our Support Center, but it does require that you know your original password. The cPanel login also uses a different user name. So, if you're having problems with it, you need to re-visit how to find your cPanel user name. The quickest way to get this resolved is to simply contact our live technical support team available 24/7. You can contact them via phone/chat/email. As per the notes in your record, it does appear that you have contacted them already and resolved the issue. Regards, Arnel C.
