How do I migrate my Drupal Gardens website to InMotion?

I've built a site I would like to use on my .net site. I've installed Drupal 7 and I've exported my Drupal site from DG. How do I get the exported site up and running on my .net site here on InMotion? I've read the few docs I can find but nothing has been specific enough. Any help is appreciated.

Hi BlueStar, Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to help you. When you export your Drupal Gardens website, it includes all the files and a copy of the database. Exporting the data from Drupal Gardens is the easy part of migrating your site. The more difficult task is importing your website into your InMotion Hosting account.
  1. Extract the files from the compressed file you got from Drupal Gardens
  2. Using FTP, upload the files to the root folder for your domain
  3. Create a database and user using the Database Wizard in cPanel
  4. Locate the database copy from the extracted files and import it into the database you just created using phpMyAdmin in cPanel
  5. Edit your config files in Drupal to match the credentials for the database you created
At this point, your website should be operational. As per the Drupal Gardens website, it's importing your website that can be problematic. The good news is, we've got experience working with Drupal site migrations so you can certainly contact us with any questions you may have. If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us. Thanks! Tim S
