I am trying to upgrade to platform pro developer (theme) from platform pro. However, when I try to install the platformpro_dev.zip file I get the following:

Installing Theme from uploaded file: platformpro_dev.zip
Unpacking the package…

Installing the theme…

Destination folder already exists. /home/sixty65/public_html/dadecitymx.com/wp-content/themes/platformpro/

Theme install failed.

Using Wordpress 3.3

Hi DCRMX,

Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you today. The installation is failing because WordPress thinks the theme already exists and is installed. You can delete the folder that currently exists and then attempt to install the theme. You can delete the folder using an FTP program such as FileZilla or the File Manager in cPanel.

You'll need to navigate to the folder:
/home/sixty65/public_html/dadecitymx.com/wp-content/themes/

Once you are in the themes folder delete the platformpro folder there. This should resolve the issue.

I would suggest you may want to backup that folder, just in case there's an error. This will allow you to replace the folder in case it fails.

I hope this helps! If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us.

Thank you!
