how to get a mobile view of my site

I'm a bit confused (seem to be getting conflicting advice) on whether I need a separate domain for the mobile site for my blog, likely something like m.monicatrodriguez.com.

Can anyone set me straight? Do I have to get an additional domain?

Hi monica67, Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you today. Typically, mobile sites are placed on subdomains. m.monicatrodriguez.com is actually just that, a subdomain. For SEO purposes Google and other search engines see it as a separate domain however, it doesn't require you to purchase anything else. You will need to create it though. It can be created in cPanel. Here's a link to an article on how to do so: https://support.inmotionhosting.com/userguides/cpflash/cpanel_xv2_subdomain.htm Nowadays, mobile devices have full internet browsers on them, so most times a mobile version of your website isn't always needed. You can certainly create one and it wouldn't hurt but is it necessary depends on you. If you are using WordPress for your blog, they make a plugin to help you. Here is a link to that: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-mobile-pack/ I hope this helps! Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks! Tim S
