Videos uploaded via ftp not showing in media in Gridblock or anywhere

I have recently uploaded my first video via ftp. I put it where all my pictures previously uploaded are. When i go to add media, the video does not show up. Im sorry if this is very basic but i havent seen any documentation on this. The ftp'd video is less than 512MB and im making the page with Gridblock. Do i need to add something else for the system to recognize it?

Hello tom.a.gill, Thank you for your question regarding uploaded videos not showing up. The easiest way to accomplish this is to upload the video to youtube then embed the video in your BoldGrid site. Instead of using FTP, I recommend inserting the video into pages and post using the WordPress Add Media tool. Thank you, John-Paul
