Trying To Move Wordpress to main Home page

Hi,
I installed and set up Wordpress to my account. If I go to www.36degreesca.com/wordpress, I see my site, but the www.36degreesca.com points to InMotion's default.htm page. How do I get my worpdress site to show on www.36degreesca.com?

I tried copy-pasting all the contents of the /public_html/wordpress folder into the /public_html folder, but then when I go to www.36degreesca.com, it automatically renames the url to www.36degrees.com/wordpress and I do NOT want the "wordpress" text to be seen in the url. Any tips or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hello, Thanks for your question about moving your Wordpress to your main Home page - a location that we call the root directory of your account. There are are a couple of ways to approach this. You can simply change the site URL of your installation if it's in a sub-directory of your account. The instructions for that process can be found in this tutorial: WordPress- Changing the Site URL and Home Settings. Or, you can migrate the installation to the new location. The official WordPress instructions can be found here. This would mean moving your WordPress installation into the public_html folder (the default root location). You can follow the instructions in these tutorials (202: Migrating your Existing WordPress site. The process of moving your site is similar to migrating to a different location, but don't have to move the database. I hope this helps to provide the information you need to move the site. If you still need assistance, please let us know. Kindest regards, Arnel C.
