Outlook Premium Slow Refresh

  • Answered
I'm setting up an email account in Outlook Premium. Everything works - it's just taking an extremely long time (like 30+ minutes or more) to upload new email messages. I've looked at all the Option settings and I can't find anything to change this. Also, I'm not getting my messages on a manual refresh. Outlook Premium automatically configured the incoming mail server address as: mail.MYDOMAINNAME.com and I cannot change that to the inmotionhosting.com mail server address. Outlook gives me an error and won't save the changes.

I have noticed that there was not a trusted security certificate. Could that be the problem?

Thanks for the help!

Sorry that you're having problems with your Outlook Premium account. As we don't provide support for paid Microsoft solutions, your best avenue of support would be to contact Microsoft. I would recommend running a ping/traceroute diagnostic to their server from your location (as they'll probably ask for it).

Also, please note that paying for the Outlook Premium service would mean paying for the use of their servers. If you're using InMotion's servers to serve email, then you're using our services for handling mail. You can use one or the other, or both (with two separate email addresses), but you can't make their paid services use InMotion's servers. So, hopefully, this clears up that confusion. The issue is not the result of a lack of SSL certificate.

I hope this helps to answer your questions, please let us know if you require any further assistance.
