Can my Domain email service is hosted by InMotion while the domain and its website is still hosted by my current hosting company?

We want to move our domain from current hosting company to InMotion. But we need some time to redesign the websites. Before the new website design is finished,  we have to leave the current websites with our current hosting company. In this case, can we move the email service of the domain to InMontion?

The A record and MX record needs to be set up wherever your nameservers are pointed. You can then create and manage email in your cPanel with InMotion.

Hello muneer,

Thank you for contacting us about hosting only your email with InMotion. You can do this by creating a subdomain such as:

mail.example.com

Then, pointing your the A record for this subdomain to your shared IP address.


Finally, point your MX record to the subdomain mail.example.com.
