I have to hit send/receive in outlook to get new emails

Hi,
I have setup emails in outlook using provided instructions. I have setup email as POP3 in outlook.
Everytime someone sends me an email, it doesn't show up automatically in outlook, I have to hit send and receive all button in outlook. How can I fix this?
