I'm getting an Invalid Authorization Code for my domain transfer

I have received my authorization code from my current registrar but when I enter it an alert pops up reading "The authorization code you entered was invalid. " I have covered all the proper steps so why is this happening and what should I do now?

Hello,

Thank your for your question about authorization codes. Sometimes codes expire or change for security reasons. If you request the code again from your outgoing registrar you can try re-submitting it.
