phpList upgrade failure, see only blank screens

  • Answered
Hi. I updated phpList from 3.06 to 3.2.6 via Softiculous yesterday. When I went to log in as admin, all I saw was a blank web page. After searching the phpList community I found no solution. I then restored by cPanel/Softiculous' backup. But alas, still a blank screen. I rebooted my browser (Furefox), tried Edge, and rebooted my laptop. Nothing worked. I opened a ticket at IM. they said:

We have taken a look at the page and it was showing blank. Thinking that this was a PHP version issue, we have tried changing various PHP versions and we were unsuccessful in finding the problem. I would like to thank you for taking a backup of the site and your cPanel before upgrading. It seems that your upgrade from version 3.06 to 3.2.6 was just too large of a jump. We recommend restoring from your backups and you can try the upgrade again, but this may not resolve the problem. It can also be possible that you can restore the backups, and then try to import your lists into a fresh install of the latest version of PHPList. Of course, we are not positive that will be possible either, but it can be worth a shot is to attempt to use your old versions' configuration file on the newest version of PHP. If that fails, you may want to make a post in our Support Forums. Our Community Support Team may be better able to answer that question. They actively monitor the forums and answer quickly.

Since I already restored the backup, and still see a blank page, I don't know how to import my lists info into a new install.

I must be missing some steps need to my config that Softiculous didn't handle. Any ideas?
