Transferring Domain / Changing DNS

I am transferring a domain to InMotion from a Wix account. I forgot to redirect the name servers to InMotion before initiating the transfer—will I be able to make the change after the transfer is complete or do I need to cancel the transfer and start over? And if I do need to start over, how do I cancel the transfer that is in progress?
