Opencart 2.0 mail problem

I have install opencart 2.0 and im trying to configure the email but no luck. in the beginning i use the mail function and when i saw that its not working i started using smtp with the following config:
Mail Protocol: smtp
Mail Parameters: -f [email protected] or [email protected] or [email protected]
SMTP Hostname:
SMTP Username: [email protected]
SMTP Password: thepass
SMTP Port: 25 or 587
SMTP Timeout: 5
Additional Alert E-Mails
No luck. Please advice.

In your "Mail Parameters" setting, just enter the one email address you are using to send mail. Do not put a space after the -f, for example: [email protected] This should also be the same email address you enter as the username, such as: [email protected] In the SMTP Password field, make sure you are using the password for the email address you used in the "Username" and "Parameters" fields. For the Port, use 25, or 587 (not both). If your problems persist, review your mail logs for errors or record of the emails. If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.
