Internal error website and it appears to be down
I tried to password protect my main director so that my website could not be accessed by the public. I then switched off the password protection, but i then couldn't access the website. I get Internal Server Error
Sorry for your website being down after using the password protect feature. I would highly advise logging back into cPanel and then simply removing any all password protections. If you continue to have the problem, please indicate WHERE you're trying to add the password protection and we can investigate the issue further. If you're using an application like WordPress to build your website, then it would much easier to use a Maintenance plugin. This would stop people from accessing the site while providing information on your upcoming website.
