I am using IMAP configuration for Outlook 2013 configuration. Whenever I delete the mails in my web mail it is getting deleted in local folder of outlook 2013 mail also. I would like to download the mails and there should not be any synchoronisation. In precise it should work as outlook was working in Previous outlook versions.

Hello, Thank you for contacting us about synchronization issues in Outlook 2013. IMAP leaves emails on the server by default, then all devices connecting will see the same emails, and folders. This also means if you delete an email on a client (such as webmail, outlook, mac mail, etc.), it is deleted off the server and unavailable in all devices. This may be the case, since webmail is incapable of actually deleting a mail stored locally in Outlook. Alternately, you may have had outlook setup to work offline, which downloads emails, and only synchronizes intermittently. Another option is to set it up as POP, but leave a copy of the email on the server. This would IMAP devices (such as webmail) to still see the emails, but also have a saved copy in Outlook. Let us know if you have any further questions. Thank you, John-Paul
