Hello,

Thank you for your question. The easiest way to tell if you are Blacklisted is to navigate to the site, and you will get a connection error if you are blocked. You can also Ping your domain, and it will not respond if your IP is blocked.

You can then use a site such as downforeveryoneorjustme.com to see if the rest of the world is able to navigate there.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.
Thank you,

you said, "NAVIGATE TO THE SITE"............
-- what site are you talking about?

you said, "YOU WILL GET A CONNECTION ERROR"............

-- I just tried going to asldflsadflksdgkgfjdsfdsdf.com - It said "Server not found". Is that a connection error? Does that mean my IP address is blocked from that server?

-- I just tried pinging asldflsadflksdgkgfjdsfdsdf.com and it says:
Ping request could not find host asldflsadflksdgkgfjdsfdsdf.com. Please check th
e name and try again.
... is that the error I will get if I'm blocked from the server, or will it give a different error?

Hello LuvApril,

What I mean is navigate to your website that is hosted on our servers.

The exact connection error will depend on your browser, but it will be similar to: Unable to connect.

The errors you are getting "Server not found," and "Ping request could not find host" are because the domain you are looking up asldflsadflksdgkgfjdsfdsdf.com does not exist.

That is why the server "cannot be found", and the ping "could not find the host."

A domain name must be registered and hosted on a server somewhere, to be accessible to the world.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.

you said, "similar to: Unable to connect."...

So, is "<strong>Server connection timed out</strong>" similar to "<strong>unable to connect</strong>"?

Thanks for your time! I'm so lost, I just wish you were more specific with your answers. I'm not a hoster guru.

Hello LuvApril,

I think we are getting caught up in the jargon and missing the main troubleshooting steps:

How to Determine if Your IP Address is Blocked

  1. Navigate to your website and see if you get a connection error of any kind (including "Server connection timed out" & "unable to connect").

  2. Ping your website to see if it responds (it will say "reply from"). If you get a response you are not blacklisted. If you do not get a reply, proceed to the next step.

  3. Use a tool such as downforeveryoneorjustme.com or just-ping.com to ping your site (These sites ping your website from locations around the world). If they are successfully connecting, then you are blacklisted, or having a connectivity problem.
If you think you are blacklisted, contact our Live Support department so they can provide specific information, and remove you from the blacklist.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.
Thank you,
