cgiemail comes in your cpanel, yet errors when I try to send mail

domain.com --> contact form --> submit
When I submit the form I get the following error:

No email was sent due to an error.

500 sendmail exit 1 with error message

There was an error setting uids: 1 (Operation not permitted)

cgiemail 1.6

How can I get cgiemail to work correctly
