multiple wp installs on a domain

When trying to install a second instance of WordPress in a sub directory I get the error "The maximum number of databases you can create has been reached, so installation cannot proceed."

Is this a limitation of my account type?

Hello and thanks for your question. Yes the limit on the number of databases you can have on your account would be determined by the shared hosting plan you currently are using. In your case it sounds like you're using the Launch plan that comes with up to 2 MySQL databases. The Power plan which is the next package up, allows for up to 50 MySQL databases. You will either need to remove any databases that you aren't currently still using on your current plan, or if you need more than the current limit you can upgrade your hosting plan to the level that supports the number of databases you believe you'll need, with Power coming with up to 50, and Pro with up to 200. Please let us know if you had any further questions at all. Happy Holidays! - Jacob
