Change the PHP Configuration

I clicked on the PHP Configuration in the CPanel and changed my server to PHP 5.4 but when I go to the system information in the Joomla website it says that I am stil runnig PHP 5.3.18. How can I change this to PHP 5.4?

Hello aimhig6,

I have ensured you have the proper php 5.4 handler in your .htaccess file by adding the following code:
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php54 .php

Please let us know if this does not fix the issue.
