Joomla - no access to MySQL database

I am trying to install a new copy of Joomla for a newly created site (http://princessaliceadoptionhome.god-is-groot.com/) on out account.

It keeps on telling me on the last screen that I do not have access to the database.

Error below:

Install Joomla 1.7 (3/3)

You do not have access to that database (godisg5_jo166)!
/home/godisg5/public_html/princessaliceadoptionhome.org/configuration.php configured
/home/godisg5/public_html/princessaliceadoptionhome.org/data.sql configured

Please notice:

We only offer auto-installation and auto-configuration of Joomla 1.7 but do not offer any kind of support.

You need a username and a password to enter the admin area. Your username is raino. Your password is g0d1sgreat. The full URL to the admin area (Bookmark this!): http://princessaliceadoptionhome.org/administrator/

The full URL to this installation of Joomla 1.7: http://princessaliceadoptionhome.org/

DO NOT REMOVE the file named fantastico_fileslist.txt from the installation directory. It is used for uninstalling this application.

Hi Raino,

Thanks for posting your question. So it seems your trying to install Joomla on a subdomain (http://princessaliceadoptionhome.god-is-groot.com) which is fine. The problem seems to be that you configured the site URL as http://princessaliceadoptionhome.org which is an existing site that is not on our server.

The problem is that Joomla is trying to access the database on that site instead of the your primary domain.

So, are you trying to install Joomla as a subdomain, indicated in the top of your question, or to an add-on domain (http://princessaliceadoptionhome.org). Let me know specifically what you are trying to do and I'll advise you on how to properly set up the installation.

If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us.

Thanks!
