Need Access to PHP's LDAP API

Hi. I currently have a hosting account with InMotion on one of your Linux servers. I need access to PHP's LDAP API (http://php.net/manual/en/book.ldap.php), which is not enabled in the current installation of PHP on the server I'm on (I checked using phpinfo() ). According to the PHP docs, you "need to use the --with-ldap[=DIR] configuration option when compiling PHP to enable LDAP support. DIR is the LDAP base install directory."

Is it possible for me to recompile PHP on my server manually? Will InMotion do this for me? Are there any servers I can move to with this option installed?

Thanks!

Hi araftery,

Thanks for posting your question. LDAP is not enabled on our shared servers. You will need to move to a VPS or higher plan. If you move plans to a VPS or higher, we can install LDAP for you. If we install LDAP on a VPS there is a charge of $25 to recompile Apache.

If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us.

Thanks!
