Wordpress.org Dashboard Problems After Transferring from Wordpress.com

I have been wanting to transfer my wordpress.com site over to wordpress.org for a while. Finally, I decided to do it. Two days ago, I signed up with BlueHost, installed wordpress, and started transferring my domain. While I was working on my new wordpress.org site, I suddenly got a notification saying that my session timed out. Now, every time I try to login into my new wordpress.org dashboard, it directs me straight to my wordpress.com dashboard. I got an email today saying that my domain was transferred, but when I type it in, it either takes me to my old site or says it is not found. I was told it could be that my name servers haven't been completely updated yet and I should give it 24 hours. Please Help!!!!

Hello, Thank you for your question regarding issues migrating from WordPress.com to WordPress.org on BlueHost. Yes, I definitely recommend checking your nameservers with your registrar (the company your registered your domain name with). They should be able to update your nameservers to point your domain to the new host. Then your site should resolve to the correct server within 24 hours due to propagation. Thank you, John-Paul
