Error 500: Internal Server Error

Hello support team!

I checked my error log and it states the following:
[Tue Aug 25 22:03:13.306004 2015] [core:alert] [pid 13881:tid 140516505540352] [client] /home/financ27/public_html/.htaccess: You may not use 'Options +All' or 'Options -All'., referer:

Since it seems to be related to the .htaccess file, I downloaded it and checked the code and the only code in there is the following:

# Use PHP52 as default
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php52.php

I would really like to restore my WordPress blog and get everything working again.

I tried downloading a plugin called 'Theme Authenticity Checker' aka (TAC) to see if my site was hacked, because I found a file called 'index.php.hacked' inside my 'wp-content' folder. However, this plugin can only be used if the WordPress environment is operating correctly. Right now, I cannot access any section of my site.

I also tried updating the PHP version to v5.4 from v5.2, but it didn't fix it either.

Any ideas?

Thank you!
Hello Jon, Sorry for the problems with your .htaccess file. One thing to remember is that the .htaccess file can be found in multiple folders. When I looked, the main one that affects your site is found under the PUBLIC_HTML folder. As per the error messages above: /home/financ27/public_html/.htaccess: You may not use 'Options +All' or 'Options -All'. When I look in your .htaccess files, both of these options were enabled. They simply needed to be disabled which has been done for you. I hope this helps to answer your question, please let us know if you require any further assistance. Regards, Arnel C.
