WordPress - Request Entity Too Large error

  • Answered
I am getting below error while try to update setting in my wordpress via wordpress dashboard:

Request Entity Too Large

The requested resource
does not allow request data with GET requests, or the amount of data provided in the request exceeds the capacity limit.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

We are able to do the same before, the error appear suddenly and now we are not able to make any changes.

We had try to increase post or max file limits in php.ini but the error still there.. open a case with inmotionhosing support and they recommend us to post an question here (?!)

are there anyone able to offer more hint how to solve this error? thank you!
Hello dimensiontheme, Thank you for contacting us about a "Request Entity Too Large" error when trying to update a setting in WordPress. Many of the WordPress posts I found with this error were corrected by increasing the upload_max_filesize. If it is not working, you may have to make the PHP setting recursive. You can confirm the setting change with a phpinfo page. If your problems persist, I recommend turning WordPress debugging on. This is covered in our full guide on Common WordPress Troubleshooting Techniques. Let us know if you have any further questions. Thank you, John-Paul
