in Codeigniter not able to apply htaccess

in my temporary url I have installed Codeigniter frameowrk and set htaccess to remove index.php from url.
But htaccess is not getting applied.
Please kindly help me on this ASAP.

Hello, That is weird that CodeIgniter uses the .htaccess file differently. However I found a stackoverflow.com thread that was trying to accomplish the same thing and they seem to have resolved the issue already. Best Regards, TJ Edens
