Renew / Pay for your Current Plan in AMP

Within your AMP (Account Management Panel) you are able to completely manage your account. This article will demonstrate how to renew your current plan from within the AMP dashboard. You can use a credit card or PayPal to complete the transaction. This works for all plan types (Shared hosting, VPS, and Dedicated Servers.)

Renewing your account
You can make a payment, or renew your current plan in AMP, at any time. All bill items auto-renew by default for accounts with an active credit card, and you are notified (by email) 30 days before the renewal date.

Changing your subscription length
You also have the option to change the subscription length as well (for example 1 year vs. 2 years). You can find information about that on this page.

Please note: If your account has been suspended, certain features within AMP will be disabled. Please contact us for further assistance.

Renewing / Paying with a Credit Card

  1. Log into AMP.
  2. In the main menu click the Billing link.
  3. You will see a list of all your bill items, click the green symbol in the Renew Now section.
    AMP Renew Now

  5. You will then be on the billing page. Review your billing information for the renewal, you can also enter a new credit card on this screen to change the payment method. Once you have confirmed the information click Submit. A confirmation page will display to confirm your successful renewal.

Renewing / Paying with a Check

Only physical US checks can be accepted at this time.

  1. Confirm the total renewal cost for any bill Item(s).
  2. Add the hosting account’s primary domain or cPanel username in the memo section of the check. This ensures we can locate the correct account.
  3. Mail the check to the following physical address:
    InMotion Hosting
    555 S. Independence Blvd
    Virginia Beach, VA 23452

Once the check is received and successfully applied, a confirmation receipt will be sent to the account’s primary email address.

Physical checks may take up to 14 days to arrive and be processed. Plan accordingly to avoid any disruption in service.

  1. This article could use some clarification so that customers know that auto-renewals with Paypal aren’t currently possible. It appears that manual renewals with Paypal are the only option.

    1. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, Tristan. I’ve updated the material towards the beginning to indicate that an active credit card is currently required for renewal.

  2. Hello,

How can I cancel my suscription? I dont want to renew my suscription again and I can’t find a clear and easy option to do it.

    Thanks in advance.

  3. Hi,

My Customer would prefer to pay 10 years for hosting, It has option to do that ?

    Best regards

    Phetsamone

    1. Hello Phetsamone,

Thanks for the question. InMotion currently provides up to 3 year subscriptions that can be paid in advance . You can select that option in the Account Management Panel (AMP) and get the discount included. The plan automatically renews.

I hope this helps to answer your question, please let us know if you require any further assistance.

      Regards,
      Arnel C.

  4. I am trying to renew for a period smaller than a year, for a month or 3 months.  We are shutting down the operation.  Is this possible? thank you

    1. Hello Ricardo,

Our Pro plan is the only shared plan that can be renewed for less than a year. It has a single month or 6-month option. Check out the link here and click on the “Order Now” button to see the plans. You are not obligated to purchase by clicking that button, it just shows you the options.

      Kindest Regards,
      Scott M

    1. Hello Tarik,

Typically, domains are registered a year or more. So, if you don’t want it, then you can have the registration expire before its next renewal. If you have registered the domains though us, then you can contact the customer service department for further assistance. They can also help to immediately delete an unwanted domain through our domain registrar. You can also contact our live technical support team for help with that issue. Our support team is available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week – via email/chat/phone. If you registered the domain through another service, then you will need to contact them for assistance.

If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

      Regards,
      Arnel C.

    2. Hello Tom,

Thank you for contacting us. Since all accounts auto-renew by default, bill items will not expire unless you request it to be set that way. This is to avoid a lapse in billing, resulting in your website going down.

If something is set to expire, it will occur on the Renewal Date.

      Thank you,
      John-Paul

  10. I’m working with a non-profit organization that does not have a credit card.  Their members rotate in/out every few years and they would rather not use personal credit cards. What are their options for payment?

  11. Is there any option one can pay on a direct link instead of saved card on file i.e, considered MANUAL payment and not accepted by bank and in not secure.
