How to Export Forms

All of the steps listed below will require that you are logged into the WordPress Administrator Dashboard as an administrator.

  1. In the menu at left, click on weForms.
  2. Click on Tools.
  3. You will see three tabs – Export, Import, and Logs. The Export tab should be open by default. On the left-hand side of the tab, you will see Export Forms. You will be able to select All Forms or Selected Forms. Select the option that you want to use for your export. If you clicked on Selected Forms then you will need to select the forms you wish to export.
  4. Click on the Export Forms button. You will need to select where to save the file.

At this point, you will be able to save a .json file that is the export of your form or forms. In order to use the file, you will need to either load weForms on the site where you want to use the form(s), or you will need to be using a forms plugin that can read the file.

How to Export Form Entries

weForms also lets you export the entries that are made for your forms. The entries are exported in a Comma Separated Values (CSV) file. Use the steps below to export form entries.

  1. In the menu at left, click on weForms.
  2. Click on Tools.
  3. You will see three tabs – Export, Import, and Logs. To the right of the screen, you will see the option for Exporting Form Entries. Click on the drop-down arrow in order to select the form from which you will be exporting entry data.
  4. Click on Export Entries and then designate where the file will be saved.
