How to View a Backup Using the Backup Manager

InMotion Hosting’s Backup Manager plugin integrates cPanel with your account’s remote backups. Remote backups are created for files/folders and databases separately. In this guide, you can learn how to view the files and databases contained in a backup.

View Files/Folders Backup

  1. Log into cPanel.

  2. Click on the Backup Manager icon.

  3. Click the expand/collapse link Home Directory.

  4. Select a backup from the Restore From Date drop-down.

  5. In the Select Files field, click on the folder icon ( ) to traverse through a directory.

View Database Backup

  1. Log into cPanel.

  2. Click on the Backup Manager icon.

  3. Click the expand/collapse link MySQL (or PgSQL).

  4. Select the desired backup from the Restore From Date drop-down.

  5. Click on the Database drop-down to view the databases that are present in the backup from the date you selected.
