How to Create an Under Construction Page Using WordPress

If you are actively working on your site, but want to create a landing page to keep your visitors in the loop, you might want to create a Coming Soon or Under Construction page. In this article, you can learn how to install and enable the default Under Construction/Coming Soon page for your WordPress site, using the free version of the Under Construction plugin.

Install Under Construction Plugin

In order to utilize the features that this plugin has to offer, you must first install it through your WordPress Administrative Dashboard. Simply, follow the instructions below to learn how to install Under Construction by Web Factory.

  1. Log into WordPress.

  2. Hover over Plugins and click on Add New.

  3. Search for: under construction.

  4. Click Install Now for Under Construction by Web Factory.

  5. Click Activate.

Enable Under Construction Mode

Once you have installed the plugin, your WordPress Settings menu will contain a new option: UnderConstruction. You can learn how to enable Under Construction Mode to display the default landing page by following the steps below.

  1. Log into WordPress.

  2. Hover over Settings and click on UnderConstruction.

  3. From the Main tab click the Under Construction Mode toggle switch, to turn it On.

  4. Click Save Changes.
