When working with SPF records, you may find it necessary to add additional IP addresses to allow mail to be sent. These will either be specific IP addresses or blocks that you are authorizing to send email on our behalf. Any IP address or block in the SPF record will not be stopped as a 'spoofing' server by the servers that check. Below we demonstrate how to add additional IPs to your SPF record within the cPanel.

How to add IPs to your SPF Records

  1. Log into your cPanel dashboard.
  2. Look for the Email category and click on the Email Authentication icon.
  3. Scroll down until you locate the Additional Ip blocks for your domains (IP4): section and click on the Add button.
  4. Enter any individual IP address or IP block (using CIDR format) and then click OK.
Please allow 4-24 hours for the new IP addresses to propagate through Internet DNS servers.

Now that you have entered the new IP address, it should appear in the list. The IP addresses in the list can now send emails on behalf of your domain without being considered spoofing. Note that you do not have to enter the default server mail IP address. It is already part of the list even though it is not listed.
