Getting Stats in a WordPress UltraStack Site

Getting stats for WordPress UltraStack site

Like any website, getting statistics is of utmost importance if you wish to understand the traffic and want to make solid, data-driven decisions on how you want to make changes that will help improve your site. UltraStack is a configuration used by InMotion Hosting servers that can help to improve your WordPress site, and it is part of the backbone of the WordPress VPS plan. By default, there are few options available to you before you have to configure your site to use some tools. However, for more accurate statistics we recommend that you use a third-party option like Google Analytics. Statistics-focused applications like these provide more robust options on how you gather and see data for your site.

cPanel Metric Options

All of the server solutions use cPanel by default. You can use any of the tools in the cPanel or WHM (Web Host Manager) without loading any other applications. You will see a section labeled Metrics as per the screenshot below. You can see a summary of the statistics available in our article, How to View cPanel Statistics.

cPanel Metrics

Softaculous is an installation application available with your InMotion Hosting subscription. It provides installation management for many applications including several analytics programs that are available to you with your subscription. Here’s a list of some of the programs that you can load:

  • Matomo
  • Open Web Analytics
  • Logaholic

Google Analytics

One of the more popular and widely-used analytics applications is Google Analytics. cPanel installations from InMotion include a link to a guide on its installation called Installing Google Analytics on your Website. Once you have this program properly installed, then you will have access to an immense amount of data collected through the traffic hitting your website.
