Within WordPress, you can create both pages and posts. While posts are used to show information in chronological order, pages are used to show content to users within their own dedicated location. In this article, we will show you how to edit existing pages that have already been created. Note: If you need information on creating a page, simply view our article on creating WordPress pages.

Editing WordPress Pages

  1. First, log into your WordPress admin dashboard.

  2. On the menu bar to the left, click on Pages.

  3. You should now be promped with a list of existing pages. To edit one of them, simply click on the name of that page.

  4. You will not be shown the visual editor with the content of that page inside it. To change it, simply locate the changes you would like to make and adjust them to your liking as you would do with any other visual editor.

  5. Once you are finished making your desired change, click on the button to the right labeled Update. Your changes are now saved and visible within the page.
