How to Determine Your Server Location

Which Data Center is My Server Located in?

All of our servers are housed in Data Centers located in the USA and Amsterdam. To find out on which coast (East or West) your server is located, log into your Account Management Panel to view your Account Technical Details and find your server name.

If the name begins with “ec” or “ams” (i.e.: ecbiz###, amsres###, ecded###, amsld###) then your server is housed in either the East Coast or Amsterdam Data Centers respectively.

Conversely, server names that do NOT begin with “ec” or “ams” (i.e.: biz###, res###, ded###, ld###) are housed in the West Coast Data Center.

For VPS customers, you can use the results of a traceroute to determine the server location (following the same naming convention).
